Monthly Coaching Groups

These groups will meet online, one hour per month in groups of 4-7 participants, supported by Jane McMahon and Em Morrison.  The days and times of these groups will be determined by the schedules participants provide at our first Saturday training on November 10, 2018.  There will be an option for one of the groups to meet in person at the SEED school, on a day and time to be decided by the participants preferring an in person group.

Empathy Partners, Empathy Groups (optional)

Most of us are live continuously in severe empathy deficits.  How often and for how long do you have someone listen to you talk about what is in your mind, on your heart, without attempting to fix, change or analyze you, to tell you what to do, solve your problem, distract you or minimize your concerns? Do you know the feeling of having someone simply listen open-heartedly to you, to be fully present with you wherever you are just for the joy of connecting, knowing and supporting you in this moment?

Having an empathy partner or being a part of a small empathy group gives gives you the opportunity to practice and grow your skills of empathic listening, and to support and connect with a fellow participant(s). Additionally, it allows you to regularly experience the peace, understanding and healing that comes from being listened to in this wonderful way.

Participants wanting this experience connect by phone or videoconferencing regularly between monthly sessions to experience the learning and healing of empathic listening with an single partner or members of a small group.  The frequency and scheduling of the calls is determined by the participants.

Participating in this activity will enhance your experience of this program and re-pay the time commitment with a sense of peace, confidence and well-being. AND it is totally voluntary, not required for completing of the program.

Documentation of Participation in the Program

Participants in the Restorative Coaching Program will receive a letter documenting their participation, recognizing their accomplishments at one of three levels of participation.

Letter of Participation: Those who attend fewer that 75% of the Saturday trainings or 75% of the monthly coaching sessions (without “make-up” sessions for sessions unavoidably missed) will receive Letters of Participation indicating the number of hours they participated in the program.

Letter of Completion: Those who attend 75% or more of the Saturday training and 75% or more of the monthly coaching sessions (with “make-up” sessions for sessions unavoidably missed) will receive Letters of Completion indicated that they completed the program and the number of hours that were involved in this.

Letter of Excellence: Those who qualify for Letters of Completion and also, a) pass a written evaluation of their knowledge, and b) demonstrate competence in the fundamental skills of the program through observation or recordings (details to be described later) will receive Letters of Excellence indicating they completed the program, the number of hours that were involved and a description of the competencies demonstrated.
